Silicone gel sheeting has been used successfully in the management of hypertrophic scars, burn and ke1oids.l-lo Antimicrobial agent-or prostaglandin El-releasing silicone gel sheets are used for dermal depth bums, donor sites, or over the flaps without infection or hyper~ensitivity."-'~ The main effects of silicone gel sheeting on the scars are occlusion and hydration.16 In this study we used the silicone gel sheets for a different purpose: to stabilize and cover the skin grafts.
