dc.description.abstractAmaç: Bu araştırma acil serviste çalışan hemşirelerin merhamet yorgunluğu ve bakım verici rolleri arasındaki ilişkiyi belirlemek amacıyla planlanmıştır. Materyal ve Metodlar: Tanımlayıcı ve kesitsel tipteki bu çalışma, Türkiye’deki bir şehir hastanesinde görev yapan 135 hemşire ile gerçekleştirilmiştir. Araştırmanın verileri, “Hemşire Bilgi Formu”, “Merhamet Yorgunluğu Kısa Ölçeği” ve “Hemşirelerin Bakım Verici Rollerine İlişkin Tutum Ölçeği” aracılığı ile toplanmıştır. Verilerin değerlendirilmesinde t testi, varyans analizi ve Pearson Korelasyon Testi kullanılmıştır. Bulgular: Araştırmada, hemşirelerin Merhamet Yorgunluğu Kısa Ölçeği toplam puan ortalaması 58.42±20.44, Hemşirelerin Bakım Verici Rollerine İlişkin Tutum Ölçeği toplam puan ortalaması 64.26±8.26 olarak bulunmuştur. Hemşirenin Bakım Verici Rolüne İlişkin Tutum Ölçeği ve Merhamet Yorgunluğu Kısa Ölçeği ve alt boyutları arasında istatistiksel olarak anlamlı bir ilişki olmadığı saptanmıştır. Hemşirelerin eğitim durumu, evli olma, çocuk varlığı, çalışma süresi, mesleği isteyerek seçme, başka birime geçmeyi düşünme ve işten ayrılmayı düşünme durumunun merhamet yorgunluğunu etkilediği belirlenmiştir. Sonuç: Hemşirelerin bakım verici rollerine ilişkin tutumlarının arttırılması için merhamet yorgunluğunun azaltılmasına yönelik danışmanlık, psikolojik destek müdahalelerin ve meslek gelişim programların planlanması önerilmektedir.
dc.description.abstractAim: This study was planned to determine the relationship between compassion fatigue and caregiving roles of nurses working in the emergency department. Material and Methods: This descriptive and crosssectional study was conducted with 135 nurses working in a city hospital in Turkey. The data of the study were collected via the “Nurse Information Form”, “Compassion Fatigue Short Scale” and “Attitude Scale Towards Caregiving Roles of Nurses”. T-test, analysis of variance and Pearson Correlation Test were used in the evaluation of the data. Results: In the study, the total mean score of the nurses on the Compassion Fatigue Short Scale was found to be 58.42±20.44, and the total mean score of the Attitude Scale Towards Caregiving Roles of Nurses was found to be 64.26±8.26. It was determined that there was no statistically significant relationship between the Attitude Scale Towards Caregiving Role of Nurses and the Compassion Fatigue Short Scale and their sub-dimensions. It has been determined that nurses' education, being married, having children, working hours, choosing the profession willingly, thinking of transferring to another unit and thinking of leaving the job affect compassion fatigue. Conclusion: In order to increase nurses' attitudes towards their caregiving roles, it is recommended that counseling, psychological support interventions and professional development programs be planned to reduce compassion fatigue.
