dc.description.abstract1982 tarihli Birleşmiş Milletler Deniz Hukuku Sözleşmesi ile kurulan Uluslararası Deniz Hukuku Mahkemesi evrensel nitelikli bir yargı kuruluşu olup, diğer uluslararası yargı kuruluşlarından, özellikle de Birleşmiş Milletlerin temel yargı organı olan Uluslararası Adalet Divanı’ndan önemli farlılıklar arz etmektedir. Bu çalışmada, Uluslararası Deniz Hukuku Mahkemesi’nin diğer yargı organlarından farklı yönleri, yapısı, yargı yetkisi, uygulamaları ve uluslararası hukuka katkıları ele alınmaktadır.en_US
dc.description.abstractThe International Tribunal for the Law of the Sea, as a universal judicial institution, was established by the 1982 UN Convention on the Law of the Sea. It has different features from other international judicial bodies, particularly, from the International Court of Justice which is the basic judicial organ of the UN. The study rstly, explains the structure and jurisdiction of the International Tribunal for the Law of the Sea, then, discusses the practice and contribution of the Tribunal to international law.en_US
