We read with enthusiasm the article by John L. Semple on microvascular augmentation of single pedicle TRAM flap. As one reads the previously published articles on the microvascular augmentation of TRAM flaps, it is easily noticed that there is no clear concensus on the nomenclature of the method of vascular augmentation. The are two major classifications; the first is ''supercharging,'' and the other ''turbocharging''. Naming a surgical method is definitely a must; however, when these definitions and terms are used for exactly the same purposes, one cannot avoid getting confused.en_US
