dc.description.abstractEstetik kaygılar göz önünde bulundurulduğunda medial kantal tümörlerin rekonstrüksiyonu önemli bir problem oluşturur. Bazal ve yassı hücreli karsinomlar sıklıkla gözkapaklarını ve medial kantal bölgeleri etkiler ve bunların eksizyonu o bölgede geniş ve tam kat defektlere neden olabilir. Medial kantal bölgenin cildinin ve daha derin dokularının kaybı gözkapağından kaldırılan kas deri flebi ile rekonstrükte edilebilinir. Tam kat deri greftleri, V-Y ilerletme flebi, ya da frontal flepler rekonstrüksiyonda sıkça tercih edilen diğer alternatiflerdir. Bu teknikler estetik özellikleri korumada problemlere neden olabilirler. Tümör eksizyonu sonrası medial kantal bölgenin rekonstrüksiyonunda üst gözkapağından kaldırılan orbicularis oculi kas deri flebini bu problemleri önlemek için 8 hastaya uyguladık. Tüm hastalarda iyi sonuçlar elde edildi. Bu teknik; tek evreli rekonstrüksiyon, flepte iyi kanlanma, optimal doku ve renk uyumu ve iyi bir kozmetik sonuç sağlar.en_US
dc.description.abstractReconstruction of the medial canthal tumors constitutes a major problem when aesthetic features are taken into consideration. Basal cell and squamous cell carcinomas frequently affect the eyelids and medial canthal regions and surgical excision can produce a large, full-thickness defect of that region. The combined loss of skin and deeper tissues of medial canthal region can be reconstructed with use of an eyelid myocutaneous flap. Full-thickness skin grafts, V-Y advancement flap, or frontal flaps are the other generally preferred alternatives of reconstruction. However these techniques may cause problems in restoring the aesthetic features of that region. We performed the reconstruction of medial canthal area after tumor excision by using a sliding orbicularis oculi myocutaneous flap from the upper eyelid for 8 patients in order to avoid these problems. A fine result was achieved in all patients. The technique provides one-stage reconstruction, a good blood supply to the flap, an optimum tissue and color match and a good cosmetic result.en_US
