dc.description.abstract | Aviation history is full of with incidents and accidents starting from almost the first days the planes had been flying in the skies. Sometimes because of some technical causes, sometimes because of weather conditions, sometimes because of human factors and because of many other causes, accidents and incidents occur. For many decades there have been searches on the reasons of aircraft accidents and the question “why did that accident happen?” has always been tried to be answered by investigators, accident experts and aviation professionals. Besides the loss of lives, accidents had also played a divine role in shaping the destiny of the airline companies. There should be lessons taken from history for the aviation as well. The aviation history is also full of with the airlines that bankrupted after an accident. Somewhere around India called Charkhi Dadri, has a bad reputation for one of the most tragic mid collision in the history of aviation when two aircraft collided in the sky as a result of the pilot failures that followed one after another and caused that unforgettable tragic event which resulted with the death of 349 people on both aircraft. With a qualitative method, this paper is a review of the chain of events that caused the Charkhi Dadri collision from the communication and CRM point of view, in other words crew resource management wise. A descriptive method has been applied. This study has been made in accordance with the ethics committee report dated on 04.09.2020 with the decision number 2020/10-02. | en_US |
