Özet

The use of social media in the healthcare industry in Turkey is in the early stages with a rapidly rising trend and there are some good examples in this respect. The literature review method is used for this research which is conducted in a heuristic manner. The conclusion of the research, which intends to guide those physicians, hospitals, patients or entities in the healthcare industry in Turkey, is that all the parties involved with the healthcare industry are aware of the power of the social media and actively using it. It is believed that it would be appropriate for the countries to support the social media which is gradually growing and exert efforts to enhance the use of social media in the healthcare industry by leveraging the infrastructure.
