Abstract
Bu çalışmada, liman bölgesi ve endüstriyel alanların işlevlerinin değişmesiyle beraber gerekli olan dönüşümlerin sağlanması esnasında göz önünde bulundurulan verilerin bölge bazında incelenmesiyle elde edilen; coğrafi topoğrafik ve iklimsel değişkenlerin tasarım kriterlerinin, biçimlenişine etkisi, HafenCity - Hamburg örneği üzerinden incelenmiştir. Bölgesel verilerin bu alan üzerindeki etkileri, kentsel dönüşüm projelerinin bu bağlamda değerlendirilerek çözümlenmesi ve bölgenin coğrafi şartlarının yapılara olan etkisi gibi konulara odaklanılmıştır. HafenCity bölgesinin konumu itibariyle bölgenin maruz kaldığı metcezir (gelgit) ile sel baskınlarına karşı aldığı önlemlerin kentsel dönüşüm projelerinin tasarımında da büyük önem taşımaktadır. Doğal afet bölgesi olarak konumlanan bu bölgedeki yatırımlar ve projelerde coğrafi şartların ne derece etkili olduğu araştırılmış olup, bu araştırmanın ülkemizde yapılacak olan kentsel dönüşüm projeleri için de yol gösterici olması hedeflenmiştir. Bu bağlamda HafenCity Projesi'nin kentin ihtiyaçlarına karşın çözümlerinin ve bölgenin mimari tasarımına etkisi açıklanmaya çalışılmıştır. HafenCity Bölgesinin, coğrafi şartlarının kentsel dönüşüm sürecindeki önemi ve etkisi anlatılarak tez tamamlanmıştır.
In this study, the effect of the geography, topography and climate that was used to inform the design criteria employed in the transformation of the harbour region and industrial areas, including the change in their functions, is examined based on the HafenCity - Hamburg example. It focuses on the topics such as the effects of regional data on this area, analysis of urban transformation projects in this context, and the effect of the geographical conditions of the region on the structures. Due to the location of the HafenCity region, the measures taken against the high tide and floods have great importance in the design of urban transformation projects. It has been investigated how effective the geographical conditions are in the investments and projects in this region, which is located in an area under threat of natural disasters, and it is aimed that this research will also be a guide for the urban transformation projects to be made in our country. In this context, the effects of the solutions of the HafenCity Project in line with the needs of the city and the architectural design of the region have been studied. The thesis was completed by explaining the importance and effect of the geographical conditions of the HafenCity Region in the urban transformation process.
